A UAE Air Force captain yesterday dismissed charges of theft against him, claiming the case was due to jealousy from a work colleague.The 31-year-old is alleged to have taken a mobile phone worth dhs1,000 back in 2004 from a fellow member of the air force."It's fabricated, I didn't steal the phone. The victim was jealous because I got promoted at the air base and he didn't," the suspect said.
However, the accuser said: "We went up in a plane and when we got back I couldn't find my phone, so I told my brother who is in the police."The trial continues.
