Swm: Zimambwe's Coventry wins 200m back gold in world record

BEIJING, Aug 16 AFP - Kirsty Coventry of Zimbabwe set a new world record in the women's
200m backstroke with a time of two minutes 05.24 seconds in the final at the Beijing Olympics
today.

American Margaret Hoelzer held the previous world record at 2:06.09 set at the US Olympic
trials in Omaha on July 5 this year.

Hoezler took the silver in 2:06.23. Reiko Nakamura of Japan won the bronze in 2:07.13.
