Approval is sought for condo plan in Colonie: Developer wants to put up 24-unit three-story building on site of former Eamonn's Loudon House.

May 26--COLONIE -- Two years ago, on a Monday night, fire ripped through Eamonn's Loudon House, a beloved pub and a hub for all things Irish.

Ever since, the building and the site along Menands Road in Loudonville have been unused, a bleak reminder of the tragedy.

But a Latham developer has plans to build a condominium building on the site, a proposal that will be considered Tuesday night by the Colonie Planning Board.

The plan by Hayes Development calls for 24 condominiums in a three-story, colonnade-flanked building. There would be 31 parking spaces under the building, and another 25 to its north.
